… The Flyers won their 1st Stanley Cup in their 7th season, the fastest of any expansion team.
… Flyers Mike Nykoluk became the 1st full-time assistant coach in NHL history (1972).

… One for the books… The Flyers and Senators combined for an NHL-record 419 PIMs (409 PIMs in one period) on March 5th, 2004. It was Tony Amonte’s 1,000th NHL game. Danny Markov scored the Flyers 10,000th goal in team history.
… Flyers goalie Bernie Parent was the 1st player from an expansion team to be inducted into the Hall of Fame (1984). Teammates Bobby Clarke (1987) and Bill Barber (1990) were the 2nd and 3rd such inductees. 
… Post 1967 Expansion, the Flyers have had more players (10) than any other NHL team become the 1st player in league history to don their sweater number.
… The ‘75-76 Flyers had an NHL record 36-2-2 record at home (74 out of a possible 80 points). The intimidating “Philly Flu” was particularly virulent that season.
